HOW TO GET A WAV. FILE IN TO WINDOWS!

1. From your start menu choose settings.

2.When the drop down menu from settings appears choose control panel.

3 In control panel you will see many icons. Choose the one that says sounds by double clicking it.

4. Once in the sounds window you will see a list of events, these are the times it is possible to trigger a windows sound, by the opening of a program, the closing of a window, mail notification etc.

5. A little further down you will see a drop down menu of windows sounds. These are the standard sounds you get with your windows program and these are called Wav. files. Try activating the drop down menu and changing the sound for a new one in the list. After doing this hit the preview button to hear it.

6. You are not restricted to Bills standard sounds! Any Wav. file can be inserted in the menu. to get your own sound simply click the browse button to navigate to the folder where it is stored. Ie. If you download a Wav. file from cool riffs make sure you save it in a folder whose location you will remember then simply navigate to that folder and select your sound.(Don't forget to unzip it first!)

7. After selecting this sound choose preview to hear it, then apply to make it active!
